Misinformation from a Trusted Source

Politicians often ask us to have more faith in beloved and trusted institutions and ignore the fake news and misinformation on the Web. What happens when it's a respected and trusted source? An institution backing a Government position on Renewables, that's a major financial backer.
Well apparently a trusted source becomes a paid advertisement and produces a hit piece for the government of the day. I'm talking about CSIRO GenCost 2023-24 Report and the cost of Nuclear Energy in Australia. Link below to their article: https://www.csiro.au/en/research/technology-space/energy/gencost
Politicians then rely on the "experts report/facts" to spruik their message to the public. Which intern helps them to make policy decisions and invest millions of dollars in infrastructure capital works. If you believe in climate change and you want Australia to be Net Zero by 2050 , then denying the benefits of Nuclear Energy is akin to being a flat earther.
The Australian Government is investing for Australian success in a net zero future. Australia's targets for decarbonising our economy are enshrined in law. These laws require Australia to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by 43% (compared to 2005 levels) by 2030 and reach net zero emissions by 2050.
Listen to the short video below pointing out the inconsistencies in the report compared to best practice and actual experts in the field.
Next month will be focusing on Long Duration Energy Storage (LDES) and two Australian firms working on the challenges.
